Fighting Back on Campus

By Craig Rucker

May 23, 2017 - The news media is on a mission.

That mission is to destroy the hope millions of Americans have in scaling back the egregious overreach of the EPA and the radical climate policy of the previous administration. There is little doubt the media will continue to bombard us with negative headlines day after day.

CFACT's Collegians chapters, however, are refusing to give in to this discouragement and confusion. While most college students cram for exams as the semester quickly comes to a close, CFACT students have been hard at work battling the Green agenda on their campuses.

The most notable of these recent efforts took place at Seattle University, where Collegians activists convinced their peers to support hunting and private ownership to save endangered species! Watch the excellent video below narrated by Christian, a freshman at the University, who boldly brings facts on free-market animal conservation to the students.

In addition to this effort, CFACT students made a great impact at other universities across the nation as well:

  • Seton Hall University: Collegians screened Climate Hustle on campus

  • Oregon State University and University of Louisiana, Lafayette students published letters to the editor supporting fracking and GMOs

  • University of Arkansas: a poll of 550 students found over 80% support the use of coal

  • George Washington University students showed there were almost no climate scientists at the March for Science with an undercover video

National field directors Adam Houser and Graham Beduze have been doing tremendous work organizing CFACT student leaders from coast to coast.

I am incredibly proud of what Adam, Graham, and the rest of our bold student activists have accomplished this year, and I hope you join me in applauding their work. I encourage you to visit cfactcampus.org to follow all of our student efforts throughout the year.
