June 19, 2017 - The IMI is seeking presentation proposals for technical sessions at its 2017 annual meeting. The annual meeting is a two-day event that includes a mine rescue competition and an exhibit hall. 

Event attendance averages 850.

Event details are as follows:

Technical Session Dates:             August 29-30, 2017 

Location:                                       The Pavilion of the City of Marion; Marion, Illinois

Length of Presentation:                20-minute presentation and 5-minute Q/A

Topical areas include, but are not limited to:

• Health and Safety

• Education and Training

• Mining Technology

• Mine Engineering

• Environmental Issues

To submit a presentation proposal, please include the following:

• Title of Presentation

• Abstract (~200 words)

• Presenter's Name, Title/Position, and Organization

• Presenter's Bio (1 short paragraph)

• Presenter's Contact Information - Phone and Email

Submittal Deadline: Wednesday June 28, 2017

Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday July 5, 2017
