Belaz Looks to Return to the Australian Market

August 14, 2017 - Belaz, a Belarusian manufacturer of haulage and earthmoving equipment based in Zhodzinam, has chosen AIMEX (Asia-Pacific's International Mining Exhibition) as the platform to showcase its extensive product range and capabilities on stand 1030 as the company looks to re-establish a presence in the Australian market.

As a leading manufacturer of mining dump trucks and equipment with over 60 years of history, the company’s decision to exhibit at AIMEX marks a significant development as the manufacturer looks to explore options in the Australian market and build a stronger foundation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Belaz first entered the global market by launching its production of heavy-duty mining dump trucks. Its first prototype was the Belaz-540, a mining dump truck with a load capacity of 27 metric tonnes.

Since then, the company has expanded its operations and product range by manufacturing special and purposely-built equipment used for open pit and underground mining, as well as equipment for metallurgical industries.

Manufacturing more than 145,000 vehicles annually, which are distributed to more than 30 countries around the globe, Belaz products are well-known for their quality and operational reliability.

Each product is extensively tested in harsh and remote operational conditions to ensure it fulfils the needs of the end user.

This year, the company achieved a remarkable milestone with the 3000th Belaz-7513, the world’s best-selling mining dump truck, leaving the assembly line.

Constantly looking to expand and innovate, Belaz is the world leader in number of models of dump trucks available in different payload capacities.

As the leading event for the mining sector, AIMEX – Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition – will see more than 300 exhibitors gather at the event to showcase new innovations and technologies and provide updates on products and services.

The exhibition provides visitors with an opportunity to obtain vital technical information and network with industry colleagues in an interactive business environment.

As part of the event, more than 30 world leading experts will present at The Future of Mining, the first free-to-attend conference included in this year’s program.

The conference program will provide visitors with unrivalled access to leading industry minds and will address key themes including the future of the mining sector, innovations and digital advancements to improve operational efficiencies, fleet performance and tyre management and occupational health and safety.
