Women in Mining UK Appoints Calliope Lalousis to Lead its Partnerships Committee
November 15, 2017 - Women in Mining UK (“WIM UK”) has announced that it has appointed WIM UK member Calliope Lalousis to lead its newly created Partnerships and Finance Committee, effective immediately. In her new role, Calliope will lead the team that manages WIM’s existing strategic partnerships with Anglo American, Glencore, and Rio Tinto, as well as any new partnerships.

Calliope Lalousis is a senior consultant in the Investment & Business Planning team based at Hatch’s London office, principally conducting techno-economic reviews on projects and facilities across the globe. Calliope is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with an MBA and has considerable practical experience as a professional engineer and project delivery professional on metals and mining projects around the world. This includes various stages of project development from identification to execution and operations. She specialises in project financial evaluation and technical due diligences to help develop and assess the links between technical aspects of projects and facilities and commercial business decisions.
