MSHA and Interstate Mining Compact Commission Sign Memo to Promote and Protect Miners

 

 

March 16, 2018In this Memorandum of Understanding, the U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration agrees with the Interstate Mining Compact Commission to facilitate coordinated and timely communications that promote and protect the mining industry's most precious resource, miners. 

 

On March 13, 2018, the Mine Safety and Health Administration signed a memorandum of understanding with the Interstate Mining Compact Commission to facilitate communications that promote and protect the nation's mining workforce. With the signing of the MOU, MSHA and the member states of the IMCC pledge to consult, coordinate and cooperate effectively and efficiently in carrying out this goal.
