April 13, 2019 - Epiroc Australia and Mobilaris are excited to announce that they have been contracted by OZ Minerals to deploy the Mobilaris Mining Intelligence™ (MMI) information management system for the digitization of one of its underground operations.

The digitalization aims to increase production, efficiency and safety in OZ Mineral’s new Carrapateena underground mine in South Australia.

Working with Mobilaris and Epiroc’s underground specialists, OZ Minerals has developed a detailed plan for the staged rollout of selected MMI features across 2019. Mobilaris Mining Intelligence™ being an open and technology agnostic platform, has already delivered digitalization to mines globally and is well suited to the operating environment at Carrapateena.

In Australia, support for MMI will be provided through Mobilaris regional support based in Australia as well as the new Epiroc’s Regional Application Centre in Perth.
