- When it comes to the youth of our nation, the media would have you believe the upcoming generation is already lost to alarmism and socialism.

CFACT’s nationwide network of liberty-loving Collegians, however, are making a stand against left-wing radicalism. This fall semester, our courageous student leaders have continued to accomplish impactful activism to show the world that free markets – not government control – provide the best solutions to society’s problems.

Here’s just a few of their impressive efforts:

    - CFACT at the Ohio State University brought a group of students to a local gun range to receive shotgun training from skilled instructors at the Big Walnut Conservation Club. Students also learned how the Club uses its 64 acres as a wildlife refuge and tree farm, all privately funded.

    - Hundreds of black student leaders heard CFACT’s message at the Black Leadership Summit in Washington DC, a conference organized by Turning Point USA. After interacting with CFACT recruiters, sophomore June Smith of Rider University in New Jersey was pumped to fight against the alarmist message of doom and gloom. “I really want to bring CFACT to my campus,” June exclaimed as she signed up to join the CFACT student team.

    - Collegians at Vanderbilt University organized a hike and litter cleanup of Rock Island State Park in Tennessee to put CFACT’s philosophy of stewardship into real action. “Everyone had a blast getting out in nature and cleaning up the park,” said Grace Cancelmo, a junior. “We plan to hold even more litter cleanups and events that focus on the importance of property rights!”

    - At George Mason University in Virginia, CFACT spearheaded bird conservation efforts by distributing “bird decals” to prevent birds from flying into windows. It is estimated that millions of birds die every year from colliding with residential windows. When the decal is placed on a window and the sun reflects on the decal, it shines like a flashlight to birds to warn them to keep away. Humans are unable to see this reflection due to differences in our UV receptors.

I’m so proud of the hard work that these passionate young activists have put in to make a difference at their schools.

President Trump has boldly declared that “America will never be a socialist country.” CFACT isn’t just hoping that this prediction comes true – we’re working hard every day to make sure that the upcoming generation continues to value liberty and prosperity.

Stay tuned for even more awesome endeavors from our students in the weeks and months ahead!
