Managing Cultural Risk on Mining Projects.

How do you successfully identify and manage the risks inherent with mining projects while complying with environmental and cultural resources laws? A sound strategy is the starting point. This requires effectively navigating federal processes such as NEPA and NHPA, while facilitating productive and proactive dialog with Native American Tribes who are sovereign nations, and among stakeholders such as landowners and environmental activists.

This webinar will include case studies selected from recent mining projects throughout the Midwest.

About the Speakers: Jenny Bring is Cultural Resources Manager at 106 Group where she processes a wide range of projects, including NHPA and NEPA processes, mining, interstate pipelines, wind and solar energy farms, and rail and transit.

Since founding the 106 Group in 1992, Anne Ketz has worked with a broad range of stakeholders, including community activists, planners, and Native American leaders. Anne has authored hundreds of cultural resources and historic preservation reports and papers.
