Coal Miners Appreciation Day and Rally Against EPA Director Lisa Jackson
There will be a rally at the Knott County Sportsplex on August 14th starting at 11 AM. This rally will be held to show appreciation for our Appalachian coal miners and families. The coal mining industry is currently under attack by EPA Director Lisa Jackson. The impact of ceasing to mine coal in the Appalachian area would affect every man, woman, and child in this area. We need to let all the Lisa Jackson’s, Al Gore’s, and Ashley Judd’s know how we feel about them because they are against mountain people who are making a good living working at coal mines to support their families. Country music singer Stella Parton and her band will be performing at 12 noon. Stella has written many songs about coal miners. This is a 100% free event. Free food and drinks will be provided as well. There will also be inflatables and other fun things for kids and prizes galore. There will be various speakers from the coal industry to address the EPA’s war on Appalachian coal miners. Please send this invitation to your Facebook friends and e-mail contacts.
