AMT employees were in the US during April and May to obtain hands on training at an ADDCAR mining operation and to participate in the final assembly and testing of the system. An ADDCAR training team will be going to India for erection, commissioning and training in Sept and Oct.

Thirty Eight trucks were needed to haul the system to the Savannah port. The goods were self loaded onto the ocean liner BBC Asia. The highwall mining system only consumed 25% of the cargo space.

“An untold amount of hard work, cooperation and focus has resulted in our companies
arriving at this milestone in the project. We look forward to getting the bits in the coal in
India and for highwall mining to become an integral part of the Indian coal mining
Industry,” said NVS Rao, Managing Director, AMT.
