May 22, 2016 - The Virginia Coal & Energy Alliance (VCEA) 37th Annual Conference and Exposition is here -- May 23 & 24, 2016.  The meeting is being held at the Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport, TN.   Co-sponsors of this year’s meeting are Southern State Energy Board and Virginia Tech’ Powell River Education & Research Center. 

The program will begin Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. Congressman Phil Roe; Robert E. Murray, Murray Energy; and David Lawson, Norfolk Southern Corporation; and have already accepted our invitation to speak during the opening session. The annual golf outing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, at MeadowView Cattails Course. The Welcoming Reception will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. 

On Tuesday morning, May 24, the program will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a keynote session featuring nationally known leaders and researchers.  Jimmy Brock, CONSOL Energy Coal Operations; and Kenneth Nemeth, Southern States Energy Board; have already accepted invitations to speak.
