November 15, 2022 - The global mining industry experienced an 1% drop in new job postings related to future of work in Q3 2022 compared with the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s Jobs Analytics. This compares to an 1% decrease in the previous quarter and a 32% increase versus Q3 2021.
Notably, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers jobs accounted for a 6% share of the global mining industry’s future of work-related total new job postings in Q3 2022, down 4% over the prior quarter.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers, with a share of 6%, emerged as the top future of work-related job roles within the mining industry in Q3 2022, with new job postings drop by 4% quarter-on-quarter. Miscellaneous Engineers came in second with a share of 5% in Q3 2022, with new job postings drop by 9% over the previous quarter.
The other prominent future of work roles include Laborers and Material Movers with a 4% share in Q3 2022, Machinists with a 4% share of new job postings.
