DOE National Briefing: Carbon Capture Large-Scale Pilot Projects Selections
Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 2 p.m. ET
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) announced the selection of four carbon capture large-scale pilot projects across the country for award negotiations. Through the Carbon Capture Large-Scale Pilot Projects program, DOE will develop transformational carbon capture technologies and prove them at the pilot-to-commercial scale at both electricity generation and industrial facilities. Click here to read DOE’s press release about the selected projects.
OCED will be hosting a virtual briefing on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, to provide more information on these selections. We hope you can join us to learn more about the Carbon Capture Large-Scale Pilot Projects program and how to engage with DOE and the selected private sector partners going forward. Click here to register and view the agenda.
In the coming weeks, OCED will also host four virtual community briefings – one for each selected project. These briefings will offer greater detail on the projects and provide local community members with an opportunity to engage with OCED and the project teams. We encourage you to share this invitation with others in your network that would be interested in attending. Please email Engage_CCS@hq.doe.gov if you have any questions regarding the Carbon Capture Large-Scale Pilot Projects program.
