EIA's Coal Markets Release - February 26, 2024

 

February 26, 2024 - The Coal Markets Report has been updated for the business week ending February 23, 2024.
For the week, spot prices:
  • Increased $2.25 to $75.50 in Central Appalachia
  • Increased $1.50 to $50.45 in Northern Appalachia
  • Decreased $0.05 to $13.90 in Powder River Basin
  • Decreased $0.10 to $26.80 in Uinta Basin
The spot price in the Illinois Basin has remained unchanged, at $43.00, from the week ending February 16, 2024.

Spot prices are in dollars per short ton and are for delivery in the second quarter of 2024.
