January 8, 2025 - Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) introduced new legislation to overturn the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management related to the Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan Amendment for the Miles City Field Office, Montana.

The plan will effectively end coal leasing in favor of increased use of taxpayer-funded alternatives like wind and solar which have persistently been proven ineffective in harsh Montanan weather conditions. Rosendale’s bill challenges the rule in hopes of coal leasing, employment for thousands, and reliable energy continues to thrive in the Treasure State.
