Cost-Effective Mine Drainage Task Force Symposium

 


March 4, 2025 - The WV Mine Drainage Symposium will be held April 16-17 in Charleston, WV.  

The total cost to attend the WV Mine Drainage Symposium is $250 and includes:
  • Wednesday Environmental Session (7:30am to noon)
  • Wednesday Reclamation Luncheon (Noon)
  • Wednesday Task Force Session (2:00 pm to 5:00 pm)
  • Wednesday Task Force Reception (5:00 pm onward)
  • Thursday Task Force Session (7:30 am - Noon)
After over forty years in Morgantown, WV, our Task Force Symposium is going to be a big event this year with some changes. We will be holding a joint gathering with the WV Coal Association and the WV Coal Show in Charleston, WV. We expect this combined meeting to attract many folks within the Appalachian region and beyond. The Charleston Convention Center and Coliseum is a huge venue, but Wednesday and Thursday of the week will focus on environmental issues associated with mining with a special emphasis on mine drainage Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
