December 9, 2018 - The World Coal Association (WCA) co-hosted a roundtable in Bogota on 4 October, in partnership with the Colombian Mining Association.
The third in a series of events that WCA has hosted throughout 2018, the roundtable brought together a range of stakeholders for a high-level discussion on coal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Welcomed for creating a dedicated space to discuss the Colombian coal industry, topics covered included coal’s impact in the country, contextualising regional targets for sustainability and the importance of data in providing a baseline for measuring progress.
A summary note of discussions is available below, along with information on the previous two roundtables, held in London in March and Johannesburg in July respectively.
