“We are most fortunate this year to have the show opened by Jimmy Brock, CEO, CONSOL Energy who will provide his perspective of the American coal industry when he addresses the Media & Exhibitor Appreciation Breakfast with his Keynote Address which will be of very great interest to everyone,” said Bill Reid, who is Chairman of the Breakfast and Managing Editor of CoalZoom.com and Coal Miner Exchange. After the breakfast the ribbon will be cut opening the show.

“The Media Appreciation Breakfast has been held traditionally to thank the media for the great work they do over several months in promoting the show,’ said Reid. “This year we have renamed the event “Media & Exhibitor Appreciation Breakfast” so we can also welcome the exhibitors and thank them for participating in the show.”

This is the 23rd biennial Bluefield Coal Show, which is the premier regional coal show in the nation. Chairman of the show is Bob Ramsey, who is President of Peters Equipment and Ramsey Industrial, both family owned businesses. Ramsey serves as only the second chairman of the Bluefield Coal Show which was previously chaired by Charles A. Peters from 1976-2017 till Peters passing in May 2018.

The value of attending the Show being “A Coal Show for Coal People” comes from the remarkable quality of the exhibitors’ comprehensive displays of equipment, products and services, as well as important safety developments. This will be the largest gathering of coal professionals in 2019 and there is no charge to attend the Sessions.
