November 27, 2019 - Craig Idso is the premier scientist in the world studying CO2, global climate change and the hugely positive impact of ever-increasing atmospheric CO2. In the climate wars, Craig has been the mainstay of CO2 truth: CO2 is a benign gas required for life on earth and we need more in the air, not less.

Craig’s brilliance working with his dad, Sherwood Idso, then Peabody Energy and running the CO2 Center is a great gift to us all as we continue to educate society on the deeply flawed agenda of the nihilists who would regulate and control all human activity through CO2 regulation. 

Craig has numerous degrees, including a master’s of science and a Ph.D. in agronomy and geography from Arizona State University and the University of Nebraska. Craig and his father, Sherwood Idso, created the CO2 Center in 1998. This followed their direct involvement in the 90s with Western Fuels Association and the creation of the videos Greening of Planet Earth and Greening of Planet Earth Continues. Both videos were based on Sherwood’s books and included numerous scientists from government and academia advancing the benefits and need for CO2, while refuting the bogus negative vision and CO2 agenda of Al Gore.

The effectiveness of Western Fuels Association and the Greening of Planet Earth videos resulted in a direct attack against Sherwood and his scientific truths by Al Gore while in the Senate through a rigged Senate subcommittee hearing. Vice President Gore’s efforts not only didn’t work, he earned a rebuke from Ted Koppel on the February 24, 1994 Nightline show, “is Science for Sale”. On that show Koppel came down on Sherwood’s side, along with Pat Michaels and Fred Singer, criticizing Gore for the same abuse of power and compared him to other authorities in the past, like the Catholic Church imprisonment of Galileo for the rest of his life.

Gore had good reason to be worried as the Greening videos were picked up by Rush Limbaugh in the 90s and were promoted by John Sununu in the President George W Bush Whitehouse. I do believe that the Greening videos continue to add value today and see for yourself: simply google them on line.

These videos made greening predictions that have come true, unlike the junk science videos produced by Gore. Craig carries on for his dad and other great “greening” scientists like Sylvan Wittwer, and for sure at an even higher level of knowledge and expertise.
