Role of Geologists in a Mining Value Chain.
Geologists play major role in the exploration and development of a mineral deposit in to a mining project. Other than discovery & exploration, geologists play a crucial role in reliable estimation and accounting of total mineral resources for any mineral deposit. The estimates of mineral resource with reliable accuracy is required in making key decisions such as a project should be built not.
Using various anonymous examples, this presentation will highlight the responsibility and role of the geologists in the value chain of a mining operation.
About the Speaker: Dr. Abani R Samal holds Ph.D. from SIU Carbondale, DIC & MS from Imperial College, London and M Tech (Mineral Exploration) degree from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, India.
