South Dakota School of Mines Extends Spring Break Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

 

 

March 15, 2020 - In a message to students and faculty, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology announced they will be extending spring break amid the coronavirus pandemic.

South Dakota Mines has extended spring break one week and campus will be closed March 15-21 with employees working remotely. All events are canceled through March 29.

The Museum of Geology, APEX Gallery, Wellness Center and other public spaces on the Mines campus will be closed effective 12:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 15 and will remain closed until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, March 21.

Food services for students who are living in residence halls over the extended spring break will continue.
