CFACT Collegians Persevere Over Lockdowns This Fall

October 21, 2020 - “The show must go on.”

That’s been the rallying cry for CFACT’s Collegians this fall, as college students across the country fight for sound science and liberty on their campuses despite the continued COVID-19 lockdowns.

To reach their peers with the truth, our amazing student leaders have organized speaking engagements, litter clean ups, documentary screenings, and more -- all while working within their school’s coronavirus restrictions.

Here’s a few of their recent accomplishments thus far:

  • During CFACT’s global Climate Hustle 2 livestream premiere in September, students from Liberty University, Central Florida University, George Mason University, the University of Hartford in Connecticut, Miami University in Ohio, and even Trenton High School in Michigan organized “watch parties” – both virtually and in person.

  • Vanderbilt University Collegians in Nashville, Tennessee organized a hike and litter clean-up of Rock Island State Park to show their peers that CFACT doesn’t only fight the lies of the Left, we also work for progress and real environmental stewardship.

  • CFACT’s new National Field Coordinator, Bob Knee, was invited to speak in front of the West Virginia State House of Delegates for Constitution Day. Additionally, Knee also held a meeting with Valdosta State University students in Georgia to discuss future events to promote free market environmentalism on campus.

  • As a part of CFACT’s initiative to challenge Big Tech censorship, Julia Heath, a freshman at Liberty University in Virginia, researched examples of social media companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Google censoring conservative and libertarian viewpoints. Julia also documented posts from Leftist organizations that clearly distorted the truth on social media platforms in order to report these posts as misleading information.

CFACT’s Collegians program is the only initiative solely focused on educating our nation’s youth with the facts on climate, energy, and environment.

Just take a look at what Central Florida University student Jesse Wooten had to say after getting involved with CFACT and watching Climate Hustle 2: “Global warming has become a new religion. The film will teach you a LOT about climate change and how the left has lied to us about it.”

Right on, Jesse!

As election day approaches and the coronavirus lockdowns continue to throw everyday life into disarray, CFACT’s Collegians program is more important than ever.

I hope you’ll join me in telling our great student activists, “Great job, and keep up the good work!”
