November 1, 2021 - The Coal Markets Report has been updated for the business week ending October 29, 2021.


For the week, spot prices:


  • Increased $3.55 to $79.05 in Central Appalachia

  • Increased $2.75 to $67.15 in Northern Appalachia

  • Increased $3.40 to $39.65 in Illinois Basin

  • Increased $1.15 to $14.40 in Powder River Basin

  • Increased $0.95 to $31.00 in Uinta Basin


Spot prices are in dollars per short ton and are for delivery in the first quarter of 2022.
