January 2, 2023 - Here is a copy of WVCA’s 2024 legislative program and priorities for the Annual 60-day Regular Session commencing on Wednesday, January 10.   

The legislative program has an accompanying narrative which is intended to provide legislators with a current overview of our industry and rationale in support for our legislative program. These materials will be used in various forums and legislative briefings during the legislative session.

The Annual Legislative Session begins on Wednesday, January 11, 2024, and concludes on Saturday, March 9, 2024. We will be hosting a Reception for the House of Delegates Legislative Caucus on Monday, January 8 at 6:00 pm at the Beni Kelemen Shriners Temple adjacent to the Charleston Coliseum and Conference Center in Charleston. 

We are also sponsoring Legislative Coal Caucus Briefings and Receptions throughout the 60-day session for members of the Legislation. 

The weekly briefings are scheduled for 11:30 am on Mondays beginning on January 15 in the House Government Organization Room in the East Wing in the Main Capital Bldg.  The legislative receptions begin on Wednesday, January 17th and will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings at the Beni Kedem Shriners Temple.

All WVCA members are welcome to attend our legislative briefings and receptions. Additional notices will also be circulated to members.
