January 2, 2024 - The Coal Markets Report has been updated for the business week ending December 29, 2023.

For the week, spot prices:

• Increased $2.35 to $78.65 in Central Appalachia
• Increased $1.55 to $51.55 in Northern Appalachia
• Decreased $0.05 to $13.95 in Powder River Basin
• Decreased $0.10 to $28.30 in Uinta Basin

All other spot prices have remained unchanged from the week ending December 22, 2023.

Spot prices are in dollars per short ton and are for delivery in the first quarter of 2024.
