Ramaco Foundation Donates to Groups in Mingo and Logan Counties in West Virginia

January 20, 2024 - The Ramaco Foundation, the charitable arm of metallurgical coal producer Ramaco Resources, recently donated to four charitable organizations in West Virginia and Wyoming, two of which are located locally.

The donations, which total $57,500 respectively, were made to Jacob’s Well Missions in Mingo County, the Man Lion’s Club in Logan County, and the Marine Corp Reserve (MCR) Toys for Tots programs in both West Virginia and Wyoming.

Jacob’s Well Missions is a nonprofit that helps provide resources such as food to families in need in the Williamson area. The Man Lion’s Club was chartered in 1985 and serves the Triadelphia area of Logan County in a number of community-driven ways; just recently, it participated in a toy drive for Christmas.

The Ramaco Foundation was founded in late 2022 and last year made a donation to the Jobs for West Virginia Graduates program. The donation was made at Logan High School, which is a school affiliated with that program.

Since its inception, the foundation has committed more than $250,000 to various community groups.

“The Ramaco Foundation is an extension of our core interest in supporting and helping grow the quality of life in the communities where we proudly live, serve and operate,” said Randall Atkins, Chairman and CEO of Ramaco Resources. “These charitable organizations all do invaluable work, which strengthens the local social and economic fabric of all these communities. We are proud to do our small part to help support their missions.”
