February 22, 2024 - Coal is still a vital part of the US economic landscape and West Virginia is an important leader for the industry. Metallurgical coal supports the steel industry which is vital for our own infrastructure and manufacturing. Coal still contributes more than 150,000 good paying jobs directly to our economy. And while the energy landscape continues to change, coal still contributes around 20% of the nation's electricity generation—affordable energy that bolsters our nation's energy security. 

We launched this show with the support of the West Virginia Coal Association because we believe that coal still plays an important part in our country's future. We hope to help support and shape that future.
