Ukrainian Women Fill Coal Miners' Jobs Left Open by Drafted Men
February 12, 2025 - Many of Ukraine’s men have been drafted, leaving Ukrainian women to work in the country’s vast coal mines. Lesia Bakalets went to a mine on the front line in the Dnipropetrovsk region and heard from some of those women.
