The XXI International Coal Preparation Congress (ICPC) was held in Sun City, South Africa this past month. At the congress, the International Organizing Committee accepted the Coal Preparation Society of America's proposal to host the XXIII ICPC in Lexington, Kentucky in 2031. The congress happens every three years. It will be held in China in 2028 and now it is coming back to Lexington. Some of you may remember the 2010 congress also held in Lexington.

This will more than double the attendance of the CoalProTec technical program with some 60+ presentations held over four days. The exhibition will also expand with additional foreign companies on the floor. Six years from now may seem like a long time, but it will take a monumental effort to put on a world class congress. Thanks to the CPSA Board of Directors to committing to bring the best in the world back to the USA.
