November 24, 2025 - The West Virginia Coal Association is planning a special Pre-legislative Workshop and Industry Briefing on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 9^th in Charleston.  Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend.  With everything going on affecting our industry on the state and national level, we thought it would be productive to convene our general members for a discussion of meaningful issues and map out a path forward for the Association. In addition to developing our 2026 legislative program, we will review and discuss the State’s proposed 25-year mining plan; Governor Morrisey’s Administration and State Energy Developments; Update on Upgrading Instate Coal Plants (per the IRP Requirements and National Energy Dominance Councils’ /DOE Grant Program; EPA’s Rulemaking Agenda; and State regulatory Issues.  More information and a specific meeting location will be forthcoming.
