December 19, 2025 - Peabody Energy's James Grech will retire on May 15, 2028 and remain with the firm as an adviser until 2030 under a transition agreement aimed at ensuring leadership continuity, the US-based coal producer said in a filing on Friday.

The board has begun an active search for Grech's successor as part of its succession planning, the company said.

Grech joined Peabody in 2021, prior to which he held leadership roles at Wolverine Fuels, Nexus Gas Transmission, Consol Energy and DTE Energy.
