January 19, 2026 - The Association’s Annual Mining Symposium is set for March 31st & April 1st at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center in Charleston WV. Please plan to attend. This year’s Symposium is cosponsored by the West Virginia Coal Mining Institute and will feature a lineup of excellent speakers and timely topics geared for all mining professionals. Engineering credits will also be available for Symposium participants.
The Symposium will also feature our Annual Mountaineer Guardian Safety Awards and Environmental Excellence Awards Luncheons and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
Semco Publishing is planning another trade show and exhibit that will run concurrently during the Symposium at the Charleston Coliseum. For floor or exhibit space please call Michael Schoppenhorst at michael@semcoproductions.com.

REGISTRATION FEES:
The individual registration fee is $500 per member and $750 per non-member. Registration to our event includes admission to the WV Coal show sponsored by SEMCO Publishing.

SPONSORSHIPS FEES:
We are also promoting a range of sponsorships this year to showcase the Symposium and supporters within the industry. Each sponsorship includes the admission of a certain number of attendees and having your company advertised throughout the event. That number is based on the level you choose.
The different sponsorship levels include: · Platinum Level at $5000 (admission for 8): · Gold level at $3500 (admission for 5): · Silver Level at $2500 (admission for 3): and · Friends of Coal Level at $1000 (admission for 1).
