April 1, 2026 - U.S. Sen. Jim Justice made an appearance Tuesday during the West Virginia Coal Association Annual Mining Symposium and Coal Show.

Justice has introduced legislation like the Energy Choice Act during his time in Washington. The act seeks to protect energy sources without undue regulation by state or local government.

Justice also introduced and passed the National Miners Day Resolution, honoring the sacrifices of coal miners across the state.

“West Virginia is a coal state through and through, and I could not be more proud of our hardworking energy producers,” Justice said.

The symposium lasts until Wednesday at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
