Wipro Hydraulics Signs Agreement to Acquire Indeco
May 3, 2026 - Wipro Hydraulics has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Indeco Ind SpA, marking a significant step in strengthening its global presence and broadening its product portfolio. The development coincides with both companies completing 50 years in engineering and manufacturing, underscoring a shared legacy of innovation and market leadership.
The proposed acquisition brings together complementary strengths. Indeco is globally recognised for its hydraulic attachments used in construction, demolition, and recycling applications, while Wipro Hydraulics is among the leading independent manufacturers of hydraulic cylinders. The combination is expected to enhance product offerings, expand market reach, and create a stronger platform to serve customers across geographies.

Commenting on the development, Pratik Kumar, CEO of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering and Managing Director of Wipro Enterprises, said the move represents a strategic expansion into an adjacent segment. He noted that the acquisition supports the company’s growth ambitions while enabling it to deliver a wider range of solutions to customers.
SitaramGaneshan, President of Wipro Hydraulics, highlighted that the addition of hydraulic attachments complements the company’s existing cylinder portfolio, strengthening its overall value proposition. He added that the combined manufacturing footprint, distribution network, and technical expertise will support future growth and enhance customer engagement.
From Indeco’s perspective, Susanna Vitulano, CEO of the company, described the partnership as a new phase in its journey. She emphasized that access to Wipro’s global network and research capabilities will help accelerate product development and expand its market presence. The Vitulano family will continue to remain actively involved in the business, ensuring continuity in leadership and operational focus.
The transaction was supported by advisory firms, with PwC acting as financial advisor and A&O Shearman as legal advisor to Wipro. Indeco was advised by BNP Paribas and KT&Partners, with PedersoliGattai providing legal counsel.
Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, part of Wipro Enterprises, operates across multiple sectors including hydraulics, aerospace, industrial automation, water treatment, additive manufacturing, and electronic materials, with a global manufacturing presence. Its hydraulics division serves industries such as construction, agriculture, mining, and material handling.
