May 15, 2016 - China Shenhua Group cut coal output capacities by 95 million tons on its own initiative in 2014 and 2015. The company had 47 coal-fired power generation units with super low emission by 2015 end and it executed 164 energy conservation and environmental protection projects entire last year.

In addition, the company's installed capacities of renewable energies like wind, hydro and PV exceeded 6.5 million kilowatts.

Shenhua plans to stop production of and stop construction of 12 coal mines starting 2016, reducing output capacities by nearly 30 million tons per year.

The company also puts off operation of three coal mines. Its coal output dropped 4.1% in 2014 and further dropped 9.3% in 2015.
